Visions and Values
Founded in 1856, our school was established with a clear Christian purpose at its heart. Through the trust deed of Reverend Philip Salisbury Bagge and the Rector and Churchwardens of Walpole St Peter, the school was set apart to provide education for the children of the local community, particularly those from working families and those in need. From the outset, it was intended to be guided by the principles of the Church of England and to support the mission of the National Society in promoting education grounded in Christian faith and values. This heritage continues to reflect our commitment to nurturing every child within a caring, faith-informed community.
Our Vision
Do what is right, Love being kind to others, Live humbly
Our school vision is rooted in Micah 6:8, which calls us to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God. This shapes the heart of our school community, inspiring us to live with fairness, compassion and humility in all that we do. It also reflects our values of peace, love, community, wisdom, joy and courage, which guide how we learn, care for one another and grow together. This vision is deeply connected to our founding purpose in 1856, when the school was established with a clear Christian mission to serve the children of the local community, especially those from working families and those in need. That heritage continues today, reminding us of our commitment to nurture every child in a caring, faith-informed environment where all are valued and supported to flourish.
